Terms of Service
Make‑QR.com provides a free, no‑login tool to generate QR codes (SVG/PNG/PDF) and a public /api/qr endpoint. By using the website or API you agree to these Terms.
Service scope
- Free QR generation with optional customization (colors, size, caption, logo).
- No user accounts; no analytics; no tracking pixels.
- Donations via Stripe (“Buy me a coffee”).
Acceptable use
- No phishing, malware, illegal content, or harmful links in the QR payload.
- No abuse of the API (e.g., denial‑of‑service, automated scraping beyond reasonable use).
- No impersonation of Make‑QR or misrepresentation of affiliation.
Availability & changes
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change or be discontinued without notice. Uptime is not guaranteed.
Intellectual property
Site code, design, and brand assets belong to Make‑QR.com / Web‑Studio.APP. Generated QR images are yours to use, unless they incorporate third‑party assets (e.g., logos you provide).
Disclaimer & liability
We do not validate external URLs encoded in QR codes. You are responsible for content you generate and share. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Make‑QR.com is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service.
Governing law: Switzerland. Place of jurisdiction: as permitted by applicable law.
Privacy Policy No analytics
What we do not collect
- No account data — registration is not required.
- No usage analytics or tracking cookies.
- No IP‑based profiling or remarketing.
When we may process data
- Support contact: if you email us, we process your email and message to reply.
- Donations: handled by Stripe. We receive minimal records (e.g., timestamp, amount) for accounting; card data never touches our servers.
- Server logs: standard web logs for security and troubleshooting (e.g., timestamp, path, status code). We do not build user profiles.
Legal basis
Legitimate interests (running a secure, reliable service) and contract (providing the service you request). For Stripe donations, Stripe is an independent controller/processor under its own terms and privacy.
Data retention
- Support emails: kept as long as needed to resolve your request.
- Server logs: short retention for security; rotated periodically.
- Donation records: retained as required by accounting/tax law.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data where applicable (GDPR/UK GDPR/Swiss nFADP). Contact us via email below.
Cookies & third‑party
- Essential only: the website works without cookies for QR generation.
- Stripe: donation pages may set strictly necessary cookies; see Stripe’s own policy.
- No analytics: we do not run Google Analytics or similar trackers.
If we add optional features that require cookies, we will update this page.
Public API Terms
The GET /api/qr endpoint returns a QR image. Examples:

Usage rules
- Reasonable use only; heavy or abusive traffic may be rate‑limited.
- Do not embed malicious or illegal content in QR payloads.
- You may cache API responses on your CDN; please keep the file URL intact when possible for attribution.
Reliability
No SLA. We may throttle or suspend requests that degrade service for others. Formats supported: SVG , PNG (PNG may require server GD support).
